Spring Fashion 2013

Lately I've been checking out some of the stores and lots of the blogs for what the spring trends are! Here are some of my personal faves :

From Forever 21

Hologram Shoes:
metallics are huge for spring, and holograms are a lighter version of metals

Sheers, Brights & Metallics
bright colors were huge in spring 2012, and they're back!

Dots and Stripes
go from girly and sweet to clean and crisp with dots and stripes. well that was a mouthful.

From Topshop:

'Mommy Jeans'
high-waisted pants (and shorts!) are perfect for cropped tops and sheer blouses

Florals
florals? for spring? groundbreaking. honestly if you know where this quote is from we can get married. (hint: it's from a movie that rhymes with bevil dares trada)

Tribal Prints
aztec, navajo & ikat lovers rejoice!

From Chiara Fashion:

Cross Prints
whether your religion, you'll love cross patterns. Also, there's the skull pattern, but I don't really like wearing a symbol of death. :)

Cut-outs and Collars
dresses with cutouts to show off your tan and collars to frame your face- ADORABLE!

Camoflauge Print
I actually first saw Kylie Jenner wearing camp-printed stuff on Instagram (follow me at giadalovesyou !) Then I just started seeing it everywhere else. And lemme say, I love it!

So these are my favorite trends for spring 2013! Sorry, I couldn't post any pictures with these links! Blogger is being so weird! LOL but enjoy anyways!

My New Years' Resolutions of 2013

With each new year comes a fresh start, and some resolutions, of course! Here are my 2013 Resolutions!

1. Use up the majority of my makeup collection before I buy new products.
This will probably be one of the ones that I'll break the fastest, just because I tend to buy makeup literally all the time, especially because now all the spring 2013 products are being released into stores. But a girl can try!

2. Do crunches, pushups, etc. EVERYDAY.
Instead of being like every other person who makes a resolution and says they're gonna work out hardcore everyday and then fails, this is easier. I'll come up with a simple less-than-10-minutes routine, and then attempt to stick to it. It'll happen. Eventually.

3. Take care of  my skin well.
This, like #2 is another daily activity for me to try. I know you're always supposed to wash your face and moisturize every day, but what can I say? I'm lazy (who isn't?). I procrastinate (who doesn't?). I do have good face wash, and a good moisturizer, I just have to put them to regular use :)

4. Invest in clothing, shoes, etc.
This one is pretty self-explanatory. I always buy clothes from Forever 21, which is good for the price, but they don't really last 5+ years. I'm not saying I want all Michael Kors clothes and all Jimmy Choo shoes. I'm saying instead of buying 10 shirts at $10 each, I can use that $200 for a quality bag or wallet that'll last FOREVER. Yay for saving money.

5. No more soda.
We all know that soda is not the best for us. So this year, I'm getting a head start on 'lent' by not drinking soda (or 'pop' depending on where you're from) for as long as possible. The last time I drank soda was New Years' Eve, so it's been 5 days and going.

6. Eat more salad.
I actually have been doing this for a while anyway, but this si just reinforcing it. This doesn't mean that I'm turning into a vegetarian by any means (a girl's gotta have her bacon) it just means that whenever I go out to eat, instead of french fries I'll get salad. I really only like caesar, but hopefully I'll branch out more this year.

7. Use up the majority of my Bath and Body Works collection.
This goes along with #1 saying, before I buy more, I should use up what I have. I actually recieved a LOT of BBW stuff for Christmas and my Birthday (which is New Years' BTW), so I'll be working on this one for a while.

8. Be grateful for what I have.
This is a given. We should all be grateful for what we have, even when it's not Thanksgiving.

9. Save every $5 bill that comes my way.
I've heard about this somewhere else (I think Pintrest?) that you save every 5 dollar bill you get, and at the end of the year or whenever, you can use the money to buy something. I'm always trying to save money, but I suck at finding a percent of my money to save, so it's easier to say every $5 bill than save 22% or something.

10. Blog at least 1-2 times a week.
So far I'm doing pretty good with this one, but hopefully I can keep it up. Gahh I have too many resolutions.

I also uploaded a video of me talking about my resolutions (including some I didn't mention here) on my Youtube channel. Here's the video:

The quality is sorta sucky in this one, SORRY!

Thanks SO much for reading my resolutions What are yours? Any tips for keeping resolutions? let me know in a comment! Thanks guys!

Review & Swatches: ULTA Kohl Eye Liners

Hey! Today I'm doing a review on the ULTA Kohl Eye Liners I recently obtained! I recieved these as a gift for Christmas, and I'm super grateful for what I got. :)

Here are swatches of the liners from left to right :
Halo, Moss, Plum, Deep Brown, Smoke, and Black

These liners are SUPER creamy and blendable and pigmented! I love using these to tightline my eyes, as they don't budge a millimeter EVER. They last all day and night until the moment you take off your makeup!

Here's another shot of the liners! They're not expensive at all, and are kind of amazing. I think anything by the ULTA brand is kind of unknown because most people don't think generic makeup brands are as good as others. Let me tell you something... THEY ARE :)

Thanks for reading!

XOXO, giada <3

Wonder why this post is the same as my most recent one on beautybygiad.blogspot.com? Well, I like the post so much, that I'm putting it on here, because I'm making this my only blog. Don't worry, beautybygiada will still be up, but it won't really get updated all that often :)

Thanks again! xoxo, Giada :)
